Join us at Pfiffner Park for the Hope Starts Here 5K Walk.  This walk aims to build a culture of prevention, early  detection, and lifesaving outcomes for those who face breast care challenges in our community. We welcome walkers of all ages! There will be  family-friendly activities throughout the day! Together we can build hope one step at a time! Join us for this exciting day beginning with a 5-K Fun-Run!  Put on your running shoes and funny costumes and join the fun — with a “Point Beer-Stop” half-way through.  Must be 21 years of age to participate – Limit of 500 runners!   This third annual “Blubber Run 5K” includes a t-shirt and admission to Pointoberfest, Point Brewery’s Oktoberfest celebration with live music and 30+ different beers/hard ciders to choose from 4-8PM.  Entry Fee:  $25.00 through 9/8/2016.  $35 Race Day Entry Fee. Please Help Support Search and Rescue Dogs   19th Annual Search and Rescue Dog Seminar September 18th-23rd, 2016 in Rosholt, Wisconsin This year’s CSAR seminar is being hosted by the Illinois Wisconsin Search & Rescue Dogs (ILLWIS) in beautiful Rosholt, Wisconsin. Rosholt is located in Central Wisconsin just East of Stevens Point. The camp has over 400 acres of woods, trails and fields, as well as a 45 acre lake. The CSAR group is a certifies volunteer group of handlers with dogs who specifically search for missing people, when called by law enforcement.  Examples:  911, Katrina, Joplin MO., among local calls. The local group is looking for donations for the 19th Annual Search and Rescue Dog Seminar.  Please support these great volunteers and help alleviate the costs of food, board, and Instructors for this 5 day event. Also any items that can be put in “Welcome Bags” or for their On-Site auction.
